ISACA Pittsburgh Chapter

And so we start another chapter year. Greetings from the ISACA Pittsburgh Chapter! My name is Brett Wilson. I have the distinct honor and privilege of serving as the President of the ISACA Pittsburgh Chapter for the 2009-2010 year. I’ve been an active member of ISACA since 1994 and a CISA since 1996. Over the past 15 years, I’ve taken full advantage of the myriad of indispensable training opportunities offered by ISACA; attending and participating in innumerable events sponsored by the Pittsburgh chapter; and I hope that you have during your tenure as well. For the past two years, I have served as a board member as the Vice President of Logistics facilitating the orchestration and delivery of many of the exciting events that I hope you’ve been able to attend and found beneficial to you both personally and professionally.

As usual, for the 2009-2010 chapter year, we’ve managed to assemble yet another fine group of very experienced and talented board volunteers who are working diligently to provide events which will encompass subject matter that is pertinent to any and all of us.

For your benefit, the board reflects the interests of the membership by being a consortium of fellow members representing the key industries of manufacturing, banking, health care, insurance and finance in the Pittsburgh region. Building on past successes, it is our objective to enhance the chapter by providing even more relevant and interesting subject matter that reflects the ever changing needs of the membership. We feel that this is essential for the individual and collective success of our membership and for the industries in which they work.

I hope that you share the same excitement and enthusiasm that the board and I share for the 2009-2010 season and will make every effort to attend as many events as possible. Please remember that ISACA not only provides an invaluable certification (CISA) that is both coveted and recognized throughout the world as a mark of excellence in the field of control and risk managed, but also as a tremendous source of continuing education credits that are difficult to find anywhere else so conveniently and affordably.
